Product Description
Mosasaurs are a fearsome example of easily recognizable marine predators, but many do not realize that these evolved from fully terrestrial lizards resembling Komodo Dragons. Tethysaurus was a transitional form, possessing fully functional legs with claws, yet adopting a marine lifestyle. This beautiful Tethysaurus skull was acid-prepared from a solid phosphatic block, disassembled, individually molded, and assembled to make a perfect 3D mount. This is a great example of a transitional form that preceded fully marine mosasaurs.
