Product Description
Cretaceous birds from the United States are rare, but this one is among the rarest – the first articulated bird remains from the Hell Creek Formation. Found beside the bones of hadrosaurs, thescelosaurs, and raptors, this is the most complete bird skeleton from the Hell Creek Formation. It is also an Ornithurine, meaning one of the first relatives of modern bird lineages. It has been painstakingly restored and reconstructed, bone-by-bone, resulting in one of the most detailed three-dimensional Cretaceous bird replicas available anywhere. A manuscript is already in preparation, and the discovery was announced at Europe’s EAVP conference in 2013.
Also available as mounted skeleton, see Replica Skeletons.
